It’s that time of year again—the leaves have fallen, the costumes are put away, and your wallet has started to weep knowing what’s to come. And it’s also time for my annual Lego Holiday Build-It-Yourself projects!

On this page you’ll find model files, instruction guides and part lists. The easiest way to get the parts you need is to download the model file, open it in Lego Digital Designer and then click Buy. Unfortunately it’s also the most expensive method—you’ll pay at least ten bucks more buying bricks this way. The alternative is Lego’s Pick a Brick. Using the part lists I’ve provided, you can pick the bricks you need and add them to your cart. A bit laborious, but you’ll save some cash.

A WORD OF CAUTION: At this point (December 2), the window of opportunity for ordering parts from Lego Pick a Brick is closing. Lego notes that orders can take between 17-22 business days to be delivered, and so any orders placed at this point might only arrive after the holidays. The last date I would chance an order is December 4.
